Your cart is empty.The Tricam Evo is a logical evolution of the tried and true, time-proven Tricam. Some simple engineering provides a second chock possibility giving the Tricam Evo three (instead of the historic two) placement possibilities making it even more versatile. The wider section at the top of the head that creates the extra taper will also lend additional stability in cammed placements. The Tricam Evo is available in four sizes from 0.25 to 1.5.

Bought mostly for setting anchors, but have used them on almost every climb I've done. Solid, light, fun. A must have got climbing in the Gunks.

Would I trust my life to these? Yes. Do I intentionally look for placements for the pink one just to annoy my second? Absolutely yes. Great product and awesome pro.

The Evo are the way to go for Tri-cams. The stiff sling allows it to be placed from a distance. The extra passive mode is beneficial, too. Sometimes a tricam works in places where nothing else will - e.g. small pockets. I'd like to see them beef up the axel, tho - that is the weak link, esp in passive modes.

New climber and using trad, not a lot of cams, but hexes, nuts, etc. While on a recent trip, I was in areas where I could really use Tricams and found that I REALLY love using them. When you get them placed just right - they are bomber! And you get to hear your second cuss you out! ") Bottom line, I Love using them and will get another pink one soon. See y'all on the rock.
