This Campbell hook is about the same thickness as the hooks on my 3/8" chains which is not heavy enough for a 1/2" chain and means it is only a matter of time before the hook will twist out. In the picture the hook on the right is one from 60+ years ago. The middle one is a Forney hook purchased 2 years ago and this hook, the Campbell, is on the left (all 1/2" hooks). The Campbell is about 3/32 thinner than the Forney. I would not buy this again.
