Works great. Long battery life. Super quiet on low. So cool with mist, I have to turn mist off sometimes. Loved it so much, purchased a second one.

This is a review for:Camping Misting Fan - Portable Battery Powered Fans with 9oz Water Tank, Light, Hook - Rechargeable, 105H MAX Cooling, Last 5H Mist, 4 Speed, Sleep Mode - Outdoor Fan for Travel, Patios, FishingBrand: AopircsThis fan has a very stable base, more stable than most of the other fans.It is fairly quiet on the lowest setting. As with all fans, the sound level goes up as the speed levels increase. This fan has four speeds. It has lights, and there are three brightness levels. The color temperature is moderately warm, especially on the lowest setting. There are a few fans out there that allow you to choose among three different color temperatures, but this fence color temperature is a good one.The light can be used whether the fan is on or off.The housing is sturdy. It doesn't feel flimsy. It has a battery level indicator in the form of four LED lights, which indicate 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Some fans now have digital displays that show the percentage remaining as an exact percentage. That is somewhat preferable, but might not be very important, depending on the person. It has a sleep setting. In that setting, all lights are turned off, even when the fan is running. Also, the fan automatically cycles slowly up and down through the four speed levels, and repeats. Some of the other fans oscillate; this one does not.It has a timer. It can be set to turn the fan off automatically after 1 hour, 3 hours, 5 hours, or 7 hours. It has a mister. It makes a very fine mist. The mist is almost like a whisp of steam, except it's cold. There isn't a lot of it. The cooling effect is pretty subtle. It's there, but it's subtle. There are some important instructions stuck onto the fan warning that you should not use tap water or anything else except bottled water when filling the tank, and that you risk clogging the mister if you use anything else.It has a fold-out hook on the bottom that allows you to hang the fan. This could be useful while camping. However, there is no clamp. Many other fans have clamps that allow you to clamp them to a variety of different objects, vertical or horizontal. It comes with a remote that enables you to operate all of the functions remotely. It slides into a storage pocket in the base. This fan is a bit heavier than most, which is probably a result of the relatively large battery and the more robust construction — both of which are desirable. It has a USB port that allows you to use it as a power bank. This can be a useful feature, and the larger battery capacity (20,000 milliamp hours) helps.

I should probably be reviewing this from a camping or prepping standpoint, but neither of these are my jam — I’ve actually got this fan hanging up near my window to draw a breeze from my air conditioner closer to the corner of my living room, where I work most of the day. My goal was a quiet and efficient fan which could be pressed into hard work in a power outage, and this fits perfectly.Running at the second lowest setting, your battery will be half drained in 12 hours — 24 or so at the very lowest. On these settings, the fan barely makes a sound, but moves air about as well as one of those small, loud, ubiquitous Holmes or Vornado plug-ins. It does get loud on third and fourth settings.) Passthrough charging is supported, so just run a long USB 2.0 cable from an inexpensive 5v2A charger and discharge the battery periodically to 40%.For home use, you may want to place a layer of masking tape, tissue paper, or baking parchment over top of the LED lights, which are incredibly bright and don’t make a huge dent in the battery level. I am unlikely to want this fan as a torch outside of power outages, but it will definitely do the job.I have yet to try the misting function. Honestly, I’m a little reluctant to do so casually, since the instructions suggest that even distilled water will clog the output. It’s one thing not to support aromatherapy oils, but recommending bottled water over distilled is confusing at best. If I deploy the tank, I’ll updated. The only thing I could ask for out of this fan is a 360 degree rotating hook, since it was a little tricky getting this angled to my preferences. But the fan itself is articulated nicely, so if you can get the whole unit suspended it won’t be hard to find an optimal angle.Recommended for pretty much any household.
