I picked this up for camping as I wanted to try an inflatable camping pillow. Camping can often get a little uncomfortable, especially when condensation, dew, etc. gets your pillow damp. This pillow will stay dry inside. Of course the cover will still be subject to moisture, but not as bad as a filled pillow. I also wanted to minimize bulk. I car camp to a tent. I don't hike into wilderness and camp where I need ultralight equipment, so weight is not a concern for me. I was able to order a larger pillow which this is when it comes to inflatable camping pillows anyway. It's nice as you can roll over and not have your head fall off the pillow. The case is nice and soft. It realistically takes 10-12 breaths to fill it. You can do it in less if you don't mid being lightheaded. lol. I did sleep on it for most of the night at the house to try it out. At first, it was too firm and too thick. I am a side sleeper and found my shoulder wanting to push it out from under my head... but just a little. I also felt the ribs from the pillow air bladder underneath which I didn't like. I took off one star for that. I ended up letting out some air. This lowered the pillow, softened it up nicely and allowed my shoulder to tuck into it better. It also helped make the ribs of the air bladder less pronounced. The cover's top is very soft (Like very thin microfiber) and the manufacturer made an effort to make it breathe as evidenced by some perforations. But, unfortunately, it was still like sleeping on non breathable TPU with fabric over it. It got a little sweaty under my head. It wasn't hot at all, the moisture just had nowhere to go. I had to set it aside and finish my night's sleep on a regular pillow. I'll have to try to throw another pillow case or something over it. Other than that, it was mostly comfortable.

I have gone through several inflatable camping pillows, from the ultra light backpacking to the more normal camping style. This is by far my favorite. It is big enough that my head stays on it. It's cover not slippery so my head stays on it. It is not crinkly and loud when I adjust my position. This is really comfortable. Easy to inflate and deflate. I can sleep as I would sleep at home with this.It is bigger and more bulky than others, but still more portable then brining my favorite pillow from home. This is not the one you probably want to bring if you are trying to be ultra-light. However if you are car camping, then this is the one!As I get older, I find I want more comfort when I camp. This is the way to go.

Inflates easily (I do like one-way valves), rolls up nice and small to fit in the stuff sack. I am somewhat dubious about the cover - the description said cotton, I'm not sure about the fiber content. But it's easy enough to use a normal pillowcase on it. The cover is tight to the pillow - it's the blue quilted part you can see in the pictures, plus the other side is stretchy black/grey stuff with an opening in the middle to pull over the pillow (it came on the pillow, but is removable for washing). That's the part that I'm pretty sure isn't cotton or anything close. The valve is reachable through a hole in the black side, as are the anchors for the strap (really not sure what you're supposed to wrap the strap around to keep the pillow from moving). Since it's inflatable, it's infinitely adjustable as to firmness. I need to test it to see if it stays inflated all night. Held up OK for a couple nights - I have to add air every night, but that's no big problem. It doesn't flatten while I'm sleeping, but after 24 hours it's a bit softer than I want.

This is a nice, still fairly compact camping pillow for those who don’t want or need to travel super minimalist. (I would not hesitate taking this on a bike touring trip if it would aid in more quality sleep)I was pretty impressed by the fact that the stuff sack was quite roomy, realizing that this pillow can be compacted a little more than the dimensions of the packed sized. (I also didn’t have to fight trying to cram the pillow back in its stuff sack, yay!)The quilted top of the cover is very soft to the touch and adds just a tad of padding over the baffled air bladder underneath, but you can still feel the curves of the baffles. The bottom is a thin stretchy knit. The size of this pillow is the size of a regular bed pillow, and for camping would be considered very deluxe. There is a removable elastic strap that can help secure the pillow in place on top of a sleeping mat, which is a nice touch, as some of the more expensive pillows don’t have this. The TPU bladder consists of four identical horizontal baffles. There is no indent in the center or built in ergonomics cradling your head or neck.Initially, I only partially inflated the pillow as that would better suit my preference, but just a heads up that this pillow is not quiet when not at least 80 percent inflated. It’s definitely not sharp crinkly like a chips bag, but more of a soft, dull crackle for those who are sensitive to sounds. Again, more firmly inflated, the pillow is quiet. As for comfort, this will be personal. Some people dislike the air pillows because it feels too much like resting your head on a balloon. I have gotten more comfortable in the past stuffing a puffy jacket in with a partially inflated pillow. The inflatable bladder itself has a little bit of give to it. I think you could even manage adding a layer of foam cut to size, or some batting in with the pillow case as the fabric has a little stretch to it.As a nice surprise, the pump that came with my Exped sleeping pad, fits the valve of this pillow perfectly so I didn’t have to worry about introducing moisture into the pillow from my breath.Make sure the layers of the valves are all pressed together firmly to avoid air leaks. For the price of just under $22, I think this can be a nice pillow, especially for side sleeper, and the large size makes it feel pretty deluxe.
