Mostly, the location of the camshaft position sensor is in the car hood beside the engine, it is found on a housing, over the timing cover on the camshaft gears.
Common signs include the Check Engine Light coming on, the vehicle not starting, and an overall reduction in vehicle drive quality.

I ordered this based on the price to replace the defective oem part on a friend's Mercedes. The new part worked intermittently causing the car to start at times and then not start at times. I requested a replacement that was shipped quickly, but it was even worse. It was 100% DOA. I had to temporarily put the first bad part I so the car would eventually start . I decided to order the Hella brand that was $10 more and when that part arrived it fixed the issue immediately and consistently.This is definitely one of those situations where you get what you pay for.I received 2 for 2 bad parts from this company!

I purchased this sensor after my original sensor failed. This new sensor Failed after 2 weeks. I replaced this with a Bosch sensor similar to the OEM that came installed on my auto so far (2 months) it is working great. So in my opinion do not buy this brand.

Fits my W163 2005 ML350. Sensor seal was bad. Leaked oil everywhere. Changed with new sensor. No more leak. Works like OEM. Easy 10 minute job. No error codes.
