As with all this aluminum under plating, it's great, once installed. The installation is a pain, but very worthwhile. Definitely a huge improvement over the stock plastic skid, which I tore off the front mounting bolts by getting stuck in deep snow. Install the center protection first (easily the worst of the three pcs to install), and then the front. The front installs over the stock plastic, and you'll need to drill the front two holes, but that part is easy. Get your wheeler as close to vertical on the rear tires for the front and center skidplates. Opposite for the rear. Once installed, these are a great addition to your Outlander. No more worrying about smacking the frame or differential. Very glad that I did it.

You will have to drill your factory front plastic skid for this skid, but this is intended and factory designed.
