Seems to have done the trick on our French drawer fridge. There were no instructions so if this may help. Wiring was black to brown and orange to red.

Fixed my issues, where the freezer was building frost thus not cooling the frigid side. Wife wanted to spend money on a new one I choose to troubleshoot via YouTube. Fixed in about 10 min. Took longer to find the root cus.

The bimetal thermostat worked perfectly. Easy to install. My fridge works better now than it did when I bought it. I highly recommend this product.

Freezer cold, fridge was not. It had to be either defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or defrost controller. I had no way to diagnose so I ordered all 3 from amazon. The defrost control and defrost thermostat came a day early, so I put those in. Defrost control is really easy to get to. The thermostat a little harder. After replacing both, the defrost cycle started about 8 hours later. Did not need to install the heating element.
