The description says to use it as a double boiler - meaning to not put it directly on the stove top but instead to heat it by placing it in a pot of water - even has a picture of it in their product images. This is strange because this item has a plastic handle, and when I attempted to heat it up the handle went into the hot water which completely defeats the purpose to have a heat safe handle and I think it risks melting the handle. Just my 2 cents but I will be returning this.

I'm just learning to make candles and this pot fits all my needs. It's small and sturdy and it even comes with a little spoon to help stir up the wax. My only complaint is that the handle is kinda wobbly. So when I move it at all the handle moves just enough for it to be annoying.

I like this item. It has a measuring scale on its inside. It is valuable. Its material is thick enough to withstand flame, but I use it in boiling water baths. It is worth purchasing.
