Thanks to Amazon and the seller for still having this in their inventory. Bought this for my Canon 1D Mark IV and it fit like it's supposed to. My previous eyecup had gotten loose and it was always falling off. This was a fantastic purchase.

The text states it will fit a 1D and 1DS. I own both a 1D Mark II and 1DS Mark II. Nope. I decided to keep the item and modify it to work. To the sellers credit it was shipped promptly and it was a genuine Canon product.The description is lacking in some rather important details.

Construction not as good as the Canon, but it's half the price. You get what you pay for. Seems like the Canon should be so damn expensive.

Fits my 1DM4 great. Order 2 of them for a spare! I lost my first replacement, but found it, so I have a spare. I got used to not having an eyepiece for a while, but the diopter would get bumped and make me think I was going blind, so I can't live without the eyecup ever again.

Bought this as an OEM replacement for the eyecup on my EOS-7D. The only reason to buy this is if you lose your original. It works exactly the same.I would recommend the Canon OEM over 3rd party brands. I tried a different model that fit but did not securely clip in place, and as a result I lost that one in a fairly short amount of time. Going back to the Canon, everything is as good as new.

I just need to keep an extra one in the kit. I travel a lot and am in situations I cannot just get up and go find one. When attaching a rain sleeve on the camera you have to remove this item to attach sleeve. sometimes it just magically is gone. I have not lost one yet but I don't need to lose one.
