Specifically purchased Capezio for my daughter's first year in dance because it was the better quality brand and what I was raised wearing in dance. I didn't mind the extra $10 compared to Danskin at Target because it's a better brand. The elastic band broke after 3 uses - and we are unable to return due to the deadline passed a couple days ago. I will have to attempt to sew it back together to get us by, but it's incredibly disappointing that it wasn't sewn properly to begin with. The shoe as a whole fits like most - smaller than regular shoe sizes, but the elastic string around the foot to loosen or make it tighter is incredibly long, to the point we have to cut it so it can fit inside her shoe.

Great quality and the sizing is probably right on. We got a size up and the wide, but unless your child really had wide feet, a regular fit would suffice. My daughter said, “Oh the inside is very soft on my feet.” So there’s that as well.

Darling shoe, well made, however these were too large for my daughter, and will be returning them. She typically wears between a 8-9 size (normal width) in shoes, and I bought a size 10W, thinking these shoes ran small. Upon arrival these proved to be too big and much too wide for her. Even after using the drawstring to tighten the width, they were still too wide. I'll be trying a size & width down for her. She loved the flowers on the inside, though!

I had a hard time figuring out which ballet shoes to buy for my 4 yo ballet class. After reading every review for every pair I ordered these. She normally wears 8T. I ordered these in 10T. They’re big, but it doesn’t matter. I can cinch the elastic to make them fit. She’ll be able to wear them for a couple years.

My 3.5 year old is just outgrowing her size 8 shoes, 9 fits really well and can wear a 10 but they are a bit large. I ordered a 10w and hey fit great with enough room to grow in the toe that they should last all year. The strings tighten around to make the shoe more or less snug and the band sits nicely on the foot. Color is a perfect ballet pink. Very happy with the purchase.

I have a TALL 2.5 year old with size 9 feet, but she's still got toddler feet, which can mean wide width and tall toe boxes - something not exactly popular in run 'o the mill ballet slippers. Rather than have to size up in another brand and have endless spare toe she can trip on, we found these in a wide width and they're FANTASTIC.

I bought these ballet shoes a year ago for my daughter to use at home when she was 3 years old because she loved her ballet class so much that she never wanted to take the ballet shoes off! She is an average size but I found that tap shoes and ballet shoes in general fit very small. I bought her a size 10.5 wide which was a few sizes up from her size then and I'm glad I did because the strings pulled tight enough to bunch up the shoes for a snug fit and now can be worn more loosely now that she is a size 9. They have kept in good condition even with how rough she plays with them and I'm hoping to still get a lot more use out of them.
