These are not good for exercise. They are cute and very light weight. They are high waisted as described. But there is nothing to hold them up. The waistband is wide but it is the same light fabric as the rest of the pants. There is no stretchy band for elastic in the waist. I will wear them under a dress with a belt. After I sew on belt loops. .. maybe suspenders?
