Make sure you know what type of vehicle this works for. I mistakenly thought it would work, but forgot that our truck has two bucket seats in the middle, which means it doesn't fold down flat. The air mattress is still a great product, having different sections for different area sizes. And even though it isn't perfect for my truck with the bucket seats, it still can be used since it is made adaptable.

Short version: This air mattress is designed for the back on an SUV with a narrowed waist to fit around wheel wells. The material is thick enough to last for a good while, and flocked on the top for comfort. The bottom is just vinyl and will squeek on leather or vinyl seats.Long Version:I do a lot of astrophotography, which means that I spend a lot of nights out in the yard, or in a dark sky spot. This mattress makes that a much more enjoyable process, as I can get into the back of the SUV and stretch out. Well, sort of. I'm 6' and both the back of the SUV and this mattress are a few inches shorter than that. But the mattress is thick enough when fully inflated that I can lie on my side and fit in easily.The mattress fits easily in the back of my RDX, but don't be mistaken; this isn't a custom fit. Depending on your vehicle, there will be gaps, or tight spots. The good news is you can adjust for a bunch of those with inflation of the different chambers.The mattress comes with a pump that will run off 12v dc using an adapter, or 110v AC. It pumps up the mattress relatively quickly, and isn't too noisy, although it isn't quiet by any means.The design of the mattress makes it useable in the back seat without folding them down to create a smaller space for sleeping, suitable for a child or small adult.Deflation is okay. The two stage plugs take a second to get used to, but once you understand how they work, you won't have any problems.The mattress comes with two inflatable pillow, which is a nice thought, but I'll never use them. Too small and squeeky. The carry bag is fine, but I wish it had a zipper or at least a snap closure to keep all the bits inside.All in all, I'm happy with this mattress for any trip in the car or truck. It fits, inflates quickly, and I can get a nap while waiting for the current run of exposures to finish.

This is perfect for camping or overnighting in your suv. It makes sleeping in the back possible and no tent required for quick one night camping.Definitely feels sturdy and is as comfortable as any air mattress, but fits way better.

We're heading to Oregon for a camping trip and are now prepared for any weather! I hate tent camping in the rain, and this makes sleeping in the car a no-brainer! This mattress is absolutely fantastic! We have a Subaru Outback and this air mattress fits perfectly. The double layer air valves are great! Put in one layer of plug while inflating and it keeps the air from escaping while you remove the pump and secure the outer plug. To deflate just pull both layers of valves out and the mattress deflates almost immediately by itself. The air pump comes with both a standard wall plug and a 9v cigarette lighter plug, and multiple nozzles for fitting various needs. The set comes with a flimsy but handy bag, which easily stores everything. I might spring for a different bag with a zipper, just to make sure everything stays securely together. I got a fitted mattress pad for this mattress and it fit over it just great. The included 2 pillows I thought would be "throw aways" but they are actually super comfortable as well. I blew them up by mouth so that I could adjust pressure to my taste. I found them super comfortable.I was concerned initially about the design and if I would need something to fill the space between the back seat and the front seat. Nope, the mattress fits great and rests on the headrests so doesn't flop into the void. You can still use the space for luggage or other equipment. I was also unsure about the many chambers of air -- this is actually a great feature as you can adjust individual chambers for optimized fit and preferred firmness. I found the set up for this mattress very intuitive and straight forward, made easy by the double valves. As with all new things, try setting it up before you actually need it so you work out any kinks in your set up. You can use the mattress with the split seat on either side - just don't pump up the other side. Lots of various applications for use. The set comes with a patch kit, so you'll be prepared should you need a repair. Fantastic kit and super pleased! I just may ditch the car camping tent all together!
