Long enough and strong enough! No problem with assembly. It easily reaches across the back seat and hooks on the "grabbers" above the door. It is strong enough to hang suits, sports coats, slacks, and shirts--more that I can carry. I recommend it.

This has been a real time saver for us when we are going on road trips and need to hang some clothes to keep them from being a wrinkled mess by the time we get to our destination.Now in 30 seconds I can take this out to the car and have it hung up and ready to be used. When it's not in use it's small enough to leave in the trunk or just stash in a small area in the house. It holds well and feels stable while it's loaded with clothes.

Three pieces assemble easily, hooks over the handles on the side of car very snugly, rubberized cover prevents most sliding.
