Didn't realize this compass does not have compensation so it will not work in my truck. However it does work well in my boat

Adhesive used on mounting discs cam off. Was not able to mount on dash.

The adhesive it comes with is more than enough to get the job done, and now that I’ve had it for a solid month I am pretty confident that it won’t be coming off until I need it to.It sits high enough where metal in the dash doesn’t seem to effect it, which has been a problem with nearly every other one I’ve tried over the years.Given the price point, you get exactly what you pay for— no more, no less.

===========Pros:- Maybe used as a decorative item.==========Cons:- The compass does not consistently show the correct direction, displaying random directions every time it is shaken. This weakens its primary function as a navigational tool.

At times, it sticks pretty bad; but for the most part, it does eventually point North. I got it for (river) kayaking - I think it's probably accurate enough for that - but I wouldn't rely on it if my life or safety depended on it. For about $4, it's better than I expected.

This is a neat little compass for the dashboard of my car. I like to know which way I am heading, and although today, many cars come with a compass built in, I like the retro look. I like this compass and would recommend it.
