These door edge guards are meant for a car door but they work on any thin piece of metal to protect from scratching or other damage. It just presses on and can be removed if needed but it stays on really well and isn't going to fall off unless it's extremely thin metal. I think the steel piece I used this on is about 1/8" thick.Very durable, you can scuff it up but you can't really break these easily, even if you bump against them hard. Good quality, I'm happy with this. No glue or other adhesive needed to install.

This Edge Guard is great. Nice generous roll allows you to cut to fit desired length. It's a little hard to press into place but once you get it on it is solid. Hold seems strong and durable. Pleased.

This worked well to finish off the edge of some cut sheet metal. It formed nicely to the shape and stayed in place. Does have metal reinforcement so you can’t cut it with scissors or something of that nature. Not sure how well this would hold up being out in the weather all the time. It gave it a nice finished edge and not really very difficult to remove if need be. However I wouldn’t call it low profile.
