Took both keys to a locksmith to program. He was only able to program one key. The other key wouldn't program, so after 5 tries I had him give up. Plus the keys were a tad bit too long so when I put it in the ignition I have to barely pull the key out to turn on the car. The key will not open the door in the key lock, it won't turn either left or right. The key that was programmed the fob buttons do work to lock and unlock the doors that is the reason for my rating. Kind of disappointed.

I have a 2007 scion that only came with one fob. The fob broke on me and I called the dealership and they wanted to charge me $375 for one replacement. After calling around and reading the reviews from the previous Amazon orders I decided to take a chance and order these key fobs. Before taking it to be keyed, I programmed it based on YouTube videos. After I programmed it, I took it to my local hardware store which in my location is an Ace Hardware. They charged me $2 per key to have keyed. They could not guarantee that those keys would work, but as soon as I went out to the car, I was ecstatic , both of the key fobs worked and I’m able to lock and unlock from the key fob with no issues. I am so happy for the previous reviews and thank each and everyone of you! I saved myself over $350.00.

So any problems I have isn’t with the product itself, but the complications of using it. So I just want people to know what it takes to use this key.There’s two parts to it. Transponder coding, and remote programming. The remote programming was very straight forward and worked perfectly. However when we took it to get the key cut, there were many caveats that were given, mostly to do with the transponder key ability to be cut without being “liable” or the machine not able to recognize it.We went to Home Depot, Lowe’s, and a lock key smith, the latter of which was able to do it for us but for a steep price. Ace’s hardware however was able to redeem my original key, hence why this key has been returned. The transponder coding is a process they do, but for 60 dollars.So it’s a fine product probably, it’s just important to know what you need going in. It’s not as easy as “get it cut” and done, but it’s perfectly doable if you need it. ^^ 4 stars just cause I wish I knew a bit more of this going into it

Works for a Toyota yaris, haven't gotten it cut yet.Followed the steps a few times to get it to work, just takes patience and a lot of door slams lolTried to get the key cut at cantire, but they said I need to go to a key place specific for keys. Will update if I cannot get it cut.I will be going back to the dealership to tell them what a rip off they. 300??? Does it also take my blood pressure like my same price smart watch? Get outta here for a 2009 yaris. Definitely worth the buy. Even if the key can't be cut to be honest.

Just got my order today, followed the instructions on a link that was provided with fobs and it worked the second try. Will now go to dealer to get the keys cut. The fobs come already with batteries installed which is great!Note: the red light on the fob is a bit dim (especially in the sun), so I initially thought there were no batteries. Very happy overall, saved me a bunch of $$$!
