At first glance, this car phone mount looks promising—sleek, modern, and compact. The 360° rotation and adjustable design give the impression of flexibility, and the strong magnet seems like it would keep your phone securely in place.But here’s the deal-breaker: it only attaches with adhesive. No suction cup, no clip, just a sticky pad. That means once you place it, you’re committed—there’s no easy way to move or reposition it. And if your dashboard surface isn’t perfectly smooth or the adhesive wears out over time, you’re out of luck.While it does hold the phone well and looks stylish, the limited usability makes it hard to recommend. A car mount should be reliable and adaptable, not something you second-guess every time you stick it down. This MagSafe car mount is very good quality. It’s well made and heavy duty. The mounting tape is 3M vhb, which is the gold standard for double sided tape for mounting things. It’s rated at 1.5 pounds per square inch, so it’s plenty to hold the mount and phone. Just clean the area well with the included alcohol wipe and let it dry completely before mounting. Once you have it mounted, hold it in place for 20-30 seconds. Then, don’t use it until the next day. Don’t play with it, manipulate it, whatever. This is how I always install these mounts and they never fail. The magnetic hold is strong. Holds very well directly to the iPhone and to cases with built in MagSafe rings. If your case doesn’t have that, this includes a couple that can be stuck to the outside of the case. The armature is very stiff on this mount. That’s great. Flimsy mounts are horrible. Just know, when manipulating the mount, it’s a good idea to put some pressure on the base of it to the mounting surface to ensure that it doesn’t accidentally get ripped off of the dash. Once you have it in place, you’ll probably never really fidget with it again.Super solid mount and very easy install. Very pleased with this and the build quality. Recommend.

It is nice to find out that every problem that I could possibly have had was anticipated by the manufacturer in a small envelope. The envelope contained extra VHB disks, a disk of some clear adhesive that turned out to be very strong and far less sensitive to the cold in terms of the ability of the base to stick to the dash and the alcohol pads came in handy. The envelope also contains two magnetic augmentation rings and they work even UNDER a clear case! The magnet is more than strong enough to hold a very large phone on a rough road and the phone has not fallen off from the mount even though I've attempted to contrive situations wherein if it was gonna fall, it would have. One important detail: when choosing the mounting location, keep in mind, there is no tilt function. Otherwise, the mount is solid and remains in possition without issue. It is also important to note that it is probably best if you adjust it before attaching your phone and beginning your drive because this mount is very well made and the hinges are tight on purpose.

This MagSafe holder has impressive magnetic strength—almost a bit too much. The design is simple and functional, but I wish the base had a rotating option. Once it's mounted, your phone is locked facing a specific direction, which can be limiting. Additionally, the stand's arms are extremely stiff and hard to adjust, with no apparent way to loosen the joints. That rigidity is a bit of a letdown.

The JXXOX Car Phone Mount has major flaws that make it practically unusable. The 3M adhesive base is incredibly weak. It failed to stick securely to my dashboard. Even I used wet paper to clean the surface before I stuck it on the board. It fell off multiple times, even on smooth drives, which is both frustrating and unsafe. Also, it doesn't have an extra 3M sticker for the backup, so it's really bad after it failed.While the magnet itself is decent, the overall design and functionality are poor. I cannot recommend this product due to its unreliable base and frustrating adjustability. Save your money and look for a better option.

This is made of quality materials and feels very solid. However, there are problems. It is so stiff that the adjustability is effectively lost. For the right use case this would probably be fine. If you know exactly where you want it and how it should be adjusted, you could adjust it and then stick it. But if you try to adjust it after it's stuck, you'll probably pull it off. The adhesive area just isn't that large or strong. In my opinion, a much better design would have been to have a magnetic base and provide some adhesive metal plates that you could stick where you want. That way, you could pull the unit off to adjust it (it's so stiff that it takes two hands) and then just replace it on the plate.
