Worth it but not for just anyone to try and tackle. It will fit long as you don't give up and by the time you get to the point to give up you can't because your dash has been cut apart.

The install sucks, no instructions, had to watch a yt video. Can’t screw the radio in place, where it’s supposed to. Radio was working really great at first but then after all while it stopped connecting to my phone, I had to restart in order for it to work. I don’t know if I got a defective radio

First of all, this unit comes with no instructions and is incredibly difficult to install and requires permanent dash modification. Once we managed to install it, we then realized that the device did NOT have the software necessary for CarPlay to work, which is essentially the only reason why I bought it. Other features such as screen mirroring did not work at all and simply caused the device to freeze. Then, within one day of use, the device began to overheat to the point of being too hot to touch, and then stopped working entirely. My car is now modified for a device that does not work. Incredibly disappointed with this purchase.

I finished with the radio install. The radio looks and sounds great. I agree with some of the other comments that the instructions could be greatly improved. Having said that I should add that all the harnesses are included with the kit so you will not have to splice wires. The modifications to the existing dash were easily completed with a hack saw blade. Installing the warning lights, sockets, and vent tubes from the old dash console to the new one was a little difficult because of the lack of space . The AC cables were particularly challenging but with a little patience was accomplished.I finally got around to adding the backup camera. The camera install was straight forward and works great with the stereo unit.All in all the installation of the Roinvous radio was well worth the effort. If you have installed car radios and backup cameras before, you shouldn't have much trouble with this unit even with the lack of instructions.This is a great upgade for VW Beetle owners. I highly recommend it!

This looks amazing, but don't waste your time. The fit was off a bit, but we managed. But within a few weeks the touch screen didn't work properly.. I would touch one place and it would think it was a different place. Turn up or down stopped working, and now the whole screen says that the recovery didn't work and won't load. Complete waste.

Fits well with a little modification to the stereo opening in the car. Used screws to secure the vents back in. Easily connects when the car is started, and sounds better than expected. Good value if you’re capable of doing the install.
