So I got these for my cargo rack to hold down smaller loads that I couldn’t or didn’t want to use an actual strap down for and if it’s a Bill I used it to hold down a pop-up tent and a 10 x 10 and a few other things, and it did a great job the straps gripped really well. I felt like it was going to stay in place and it did I leave and head down a patio umbrella which can be really awkwardly shaped in a sense of being able to wrap something around it and actually hold it down like this really fit the bill for that and I would highly recommend it

These straps really work well. The clip holds very well and is not too difficult to release. I really like the end loops which you can wrap around your roof rack for a quick, easy, and secure connection. These are as heavy weight as you would want to use on a roof rack.Tip: If you are using these on top of your car and they begin to make a noise as they vibrate in the wind, try adding a twist to the strap.

I own a bunch of ratchet straps in various sizes. They all do their job well, but one thing they have in common is that they're all excessively long and annoying to manage when I need to use them on my roof-mounted crossbars. These looped cam buckle straps are great alternative for that task.Since I can always fall back to my longer straps if needed, I chose the 4-foot length. They work beautifully with my Thule Aeroblades. The cam buckle has a more robust build than others I've seen, and the quality of the nylon webbing and related stitching is on par with other 1-inch straps I own. The shorter length is convenient for this application, and the looped ends greatly simplify use.I've also used them to secure a load over 200lbs (not on my crossbars), and the cam buckles did not slip during use. I can't speak to their stated 650lb limit, but this test assures me that they'll handle the light duties I'll be asking them to do.

These are the straps to get if you need cam straps that can be fixed by looping them around a bar or though an eye bolt. They work great for that. The straps are made from a substantial 1 inch webbing that feels fairly heavy and the cam buckles also have a decent, quality feel. The loops at the ends are formed with a twist before they're sewn which makes them loop neatly around the bar or eye bolt. I took a couple of photos showing the end looped around a 1.5 inch square wood bar.These are well made and will do the job. My only small negative is that the buckles don't have any attached padding to keep from scratching the surfboard, boat or other object you're strapping down. A pad like that is pretty common nowadays on high quality straps and would elevate these higher than my basic rating of "get's the job done".
