I tried a 3mm dia. end mill and that measures about .118 inch, which is pretty small. Since it was so small and was carbide (somewhat brittle). I felt it would probably break off if I used it my milling machine, which is slightly smaller than a Bridgeport.Instead I used this in a Dremel moto tool and it work ok, more as a bur than anything. In summary I would say this might work fine on a benchtop or jeweler's milling machine where a softer feel or touch comes into play. I really can't fault the product as I knew going the size was small. Thus if your needs are for a small end mill that is carbide and you have the equipment to handle it, I would give it a try and see how it works for your application.P
