Installed carb and heater on bottom of carb was faulty. Not knowing I let bike run and in just a few seconds it burned the throttle cable and choke cable melted

Finally was home to install this carb on 2002 Honda 450 Foreman. installed and ran for about 30 minutes everything was good took it for a short 10 minute ride later in the day and the float in the bowl seems to be stuck and the carb is leaking a constant flow of fuel our the bowl overflow tube. Got online to see about a return and the return window was closed already.
