The carb worked on first pull. My Exmark with a 12.5 hp Kohler engine started just fine. The problem was a small leak of gasoline from the bottom of the float bowl, specifically from around the bowl's bolt. It escaped despite the small red gasket being placed properly. I ordered a second carb. Same problem. So I took off the bowl, wrapped the bolt in Teflon tape (being sure the tape did not extend below/off the threads. Then I put the red gasket on the bolt and placed another 3-4" piece of Teflon tape around the bolt with gasket. I then installed the bolt and no leak.

For the price you can't go wrong compared to what Kohler charges.Replaced the old carburetor with this one and up and running perfectly in about 20 minutes time and off mowing without any issues
