I must have received a bad carburetor. The butterfly door controlled by the thermostat doesn't close correctly. The plastic shaft that holds it is too short. It does not hold up the metal piece high enough inside to clear the inner walls of the carburetor. I tried swapping the shaft out with an older one I already had but this new carburetor has a slightly smaller shaft hole and the original shaft can't fit through it. My dreams of a cheap, good carb have been shattered.l

Purchase this carburetor because the original equipment replacement part was rather expensive and the mower is kind of old but still an excellent condition. Someone left regular ethanol gas in the tank for a season or two and the carburetor was all gummed up. Instead of spending hours trying to figure out the problem and getting frustrated I just ordered this item on Amazon. While at first glance it appears that it is slightly different than the original carburetor do not be dissuaded. The original carb had a butterfly at the rear. This carburetor has a butterfly at the rear and a butterfly at the front. A simple twist with needle nose pliers removed the front butterfly and it took about 2 minutes to install. Once installed I primed it and pulled twice and the machine came back to life for the first time in about 3 years. It ran like an absolute champ. No adjustments, no fiddling, no fuss, no leaks, just pure smooth performance. Definitely worth the price. This item was about 10% of the cost of the OEM Toro part. The lawn mower now runs like it did when it was new. I highly recommend this carburetor. The photo I posted with this review was for the model number of the machine that I used it on.

This was easy to install and much easier than a tuneup kit. I was very surprised when my lawn mower started on the first pull. SWEET!!

Good replacement carb for Toro 22” Recycler with Briggs & Stratton 190cc motor. Had a issue with running. Replacing the carb worked. Happy with purchase.
