On the original carb, the case pressure pulse that drives the pump diagram comes from a port in the throat of the carb on the engine side. On this and ever other carb I find, that port is on the engine face of the carb and would go presumably to a small port on the intake surface of the engine. If you install this on the Hangkai outboard that port will be either blocked off or open to the environment. Since it won't sense a pulse there will be no fuel pump effectively.This would not be a simple engineering fix. There is a series of adapters on the Hangkai outboard that do not, in so far as I can tell, allow for any way to create a passage to that port on this replacement carb.To be fair this is not necessarily a fault with this carb. Only it is not a direct replacement, nor an effective replacement, for the factory carb.

Bought a new hangkai outboard and carb was acting up and dying ....bought this carb to replace it and it is better than original but will sputter and die.I will be buying a Honda replacement if I can find one. Do not buy this.....it will give you problems.
