Plastic card sleeves are devices used to protect trading cards from damage, especially collectible card game cards from wear and tear and to store them. Thanks to the trading card industry, there developed a wide variety of protective devices, including the bulky "top-loader", a rigid plastic case with one open end (essentially a box for a single card) and the less-expensive simple "card sleeve," a card-sized envelope of clear plastic, with one end open. The term may also refer to 9-pocket pages designed to store trading cards in binders or card albums. Once collectible card games became popular , new technology was needed. First of all, existing devices were not made with shuffling in mind: rigid top-loaders are effectively impossible to shuffle, and traditional card sleeves break easily during shuffling.

I've had a couple of these over the years, and they're great for bulk and for keeping more quality cards safe. Locks are pretty reliable as long as it's not being flung around and it holds a ton of unsleeved cards. Great for the price

I really like these boxes and currently have 3. I typically use them to store cards that I handle often, like sideboard cards or commonly used cards for MTG Commander.

I use this box to store cards for games like Magic and Pokemon. This box is best for keeping bulk amounts of cards that one might need quick access to.There are 5 different storage sections of different lengths. The dividing walls between sections have a useful notch at the top to make it easier to pull cards out. Both double sleeved and unsleeved cards fit well.2 latches on either side of the box secure the lid to the base. While the latches feel light, I think they are secure and should keep the lid securely closed during everyday use.The boxes are not stackable, but one could theoretically use adhesive rubber feet to give them this ability if necessary.Overall this is a good solution for card game shelf storage and easy access.

I am so glad they sell these. I found similar ones at Goodwill and needed more. These have fixed dividers for some sorting and everything fits great. As shown in photo, sleeved or card boxes fit. It doesn’t fit hard plastic sleeves. Designed u like other plastic boxes so there’s no weird bumps or snags to dent cards.

I bought the box to have a compact and safe way of storing and transporting my dice, counter and tokens.The plastic box seems sturdy and I am quite confident, that it will keep everything well protected. The hinges and clasps are made from separate pieces of plastic, which i was positively surprised by, i expected them to be the a type of living hinge (and thus maybe breaking after multiple times of usage). The lid is strong enough to safely stay closed, despite the weight of the dice and tokens in the box.I'm very satisfied with it.

For the cost, this box works great (although think it could be a couple dollars cheaper). It does require some effort though if you want to put dividers and don't want the cards to fall over. I made dividers by cutting down 3x5 index cards, placing labels I printed on my label maker then bent the card over to easily view the label (as seen in the picture). Could have made them prettier by using different color index cards and labels, but it works for me. The cards I have in the picture are in the Ultra Pro Clear Soft Card Sleeves for Standard 2.5" x 3.5" cards. The sleeves are not a perfect fit as there is some extra sleeve above the card, but it helps hold them in place better and with the amount of cards I have (over 1000), I didn't want to pay a lot for the sleeves. Would rather put that money towards more sets/cards.Would say the biggest downside to using this box is the need to improvise such as making the dividers out of index cards and using foam or something else to keep the cards from falling over if the spot in the box isn't totally full such as not wanting to over crowd each section (as seen in the picture). I still have more cards to put in the box so some of the sections will be more full, but I haven't sleeved the cards yet. The foam was somewhat temporary, but will still use something to keep the cards from falling over if I move the box quickly or it gets turned on its side for some reason. All in all it is a great box, but wonder if I should have spent the money to just get the ready made foam or wooden divider for the original box now that I have 2 of these (didn't want to put all 1000+ cards in the same box).I gave it 5 stars, because I couldn't blame the box for needing the extra work. It is what it is and does what it is meant to do. Putting dividers in and not filling it up more than I have it is on me. Don't see a way where they could solve either problem since everyone's use of the box will vary. They could put thin dividers in similar to what I have the note cards for, but again this is a storage box...would say it isn't intended for daily play (or at least in my opinion).

This box is widely regarded as the best storage box to hold sleeved cards and I actually find that to be really sad. As is, you will find no better storage box at this price/availability but I find it sad that this is the best it gets, there are some things that would just make this box nicer, like:1) Vertical card storage. Do you know how much a pain in the ass it is to find a single card in a sea of 1000 cards when the card name is printed on the top of the card which is laying on it's side because of the design of the box? With about 1" of height and .5" of width, this box could hold 1500 cards vertically and would be MUCH EASIER to sort through.2) Custom configured divider system. Yes, this is nitpicky but is something people want and like. I don't claim to have a system that works great and I can't say I have seen a custom divider system that locks in place and doesn't affect cards when the divider is removed. This is something I'd love to see and would spend extra on, but in no way would every stop me from buying this particular storage box as I don't necessarily have an issue with the moulded in static dividers that are there currently.3) Easily removable advertising sticker that is plastered on the box. This is not something I care about but noticed quite a few other comments bring it up, it just makes sense to remove this all together or have it on plastic cellophane that seals the product, maybe even the bottom of the product? There is no need for customers who don't want that giant sticker on the top of the box to have to spend hours with goo-gone and soap and paper products to remove it.With those negatives being listed, I feel like I haven't given enough words to the positives and that is simply because this storage is the best when it comes to storing sleeved cards in a compact, sturdy and sealed manner, not much else to say.If anyone who reads this, at any point in the next 5 years, find a box that is similar to this box, but stores sleeved cards VERTICALLY, please reply to this message as I am ready to buy!
