Threads on the box were bad. I had to add nuts. Box leaked through it seals once oil was added for the first time. Typically the cardone stuff is good from my understanding

Gearbox was dead on installation. Brand new pump and hoses. Followed the instructions, and when we tried to turn the wheels to purge air as in directions, something wasn't right - the steering wheel was really hard to turn the first 1/4 turn, then the boost would kick in. It was like that for maybe 3-4 tries left and right, then there was no boost at all, no drag on the pump, nothing. Fluid is flowing right through the gearbox with no effect at all. Junk right out of the box, I'm bummed that I took so long to install it that I'm outside the return window

I haven't installed it yet, but with the info provided on selecting this gear box for my truck it should fit.Update-I finally was able to get the gear box installed, it was the wrong one. The web site had two that said would fit, I chose the more inexpensive one. apparently there are two versions, one for two wheel drive and one for four wheel drive. It didn't state that I have a 4X4, but because of Amazon's good customer service, I was able to return it even after the 30 day return time.Thanks Amazon!The auto shop had to order the rite one and is still from the same company, so far so good!
