Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing. A new axle retaining nut is supplied with every drive shaft assembly for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped. So the last picture is the one that came off my 2008 ford f150, I ordered the cardone because they were a good price and said they would fit my truck. Needless to say they did fit my truck but they are different flanges, which they advertise it’s a circle flange but when you get them, they are not..So when I received one of them the grease cap with blown out and grease was everywhere. It was a mess. When I received the second one after an Amazon mishap, it was the same way. I was not happy about it. I was considering returning them and going to the auto parts store to buy some from them but I didn’t. Amazon delivered a thirds one that was perfect condition. I installed them yesterday and so far so good.Good product, bad handling

I bought for the great price. But that’s gonna be double when I have to replace it because of the boot is already split. I drive very lil and never go it the mud.

Received and started work on my truck had it apart then opened box with cv axle and the end cap us off and grease everywhere. I got it put back together and was forced to install it because I had to get my truck out of my friends garage. Very unhappy.

Came with seal plate knocked off and grease was all over it,this was my second one I had ordered the first was covered in grease and back plate was knocked off as well,had to scoop the grease out of the bag it was packaged in and put back in the unit and hammer plate back on,other than that it's a excellent, perfect axle.

I'm lifted 3.5 inches 06 f150 and these seem a lot higher quality than the duralast ones I got from AutoZone those were completely shredded apart after a good mud whole and went to these seem to be a little longer than oem and that helped a lot with my bad CV angles due to being lifted I highly recommend, they are also significantly heavier than my oem, or the duralast ones.

Install was smooth, no issues. As for the nut on the end of the axle, torque spec from ford calls for 20lbft. Instead of torquing it to 20lbft I chose to apply blue locktite and snug it up with a 3/8 ratchet. I dont see any issues arising from this as its only purpose is to keep the axle from sliding out of the hub.

I bought this September 2018 , put on easy with what I though was good quality materials. Six months later and the boot has a huge tear in it (see Photo). I had already ordered another one because I was told the boot had split. i thought that it was the other side. I didn't expect the boot to tear after 6 months. I have tried to contact customer care about the warranty for this but the whole contact support is useless and very confusing. This item was sold by amazon and i cannot contact anyone for support on this issue. Waste of time and money. I even contacted Cardone but they told me to contact the seller on Amazon, who I couldn't find.
