  • Proprietary engineering processes ensure that all CV Drive Axles meet OE form, fit and function
  • Neoprene boots are designed with additional bellows, when needed, to resist bellow stress and cracking, which is the leading cause of boot failure
  • An axle retaining nut is supplied with every unit for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped
  • CV Drive Axle measurements are validated after assembly to ensure a proper fit; Threads are precision rolled to ensure proper fit when axle nut is installed
  • Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing

CARDONE's extensive experience in testing and engineering CV Drive Axles is the foundation behind our proprietary method of engineering a product that meets and even exceed O.E. performance. We have researched the reasons why original CVs typically fail and designed new solutions to avoid repeat failure. For example, our Neoprene boots are designed with additional bellows, when needed, to resist bellow stress and ozone cracking - the leading cause of boot failure. High-quality grease withstands high-temperature and high-torque demands to ensure long-lasting, reliable performance. Splines are precision rolled to ensure proper fit of CV Drive Axle into the mating hub and transmission, which eliminates installation hassles. Transmission seal diameter is precision-machined after heat treatment to ensure correct surface finish, promoting long seal life. Additionally, all CV Drive Axle shafts are individually verified for straightness, resulting in vibration-free performance at all speeds.

I needed a new front driver-side axle for a 2010 Honda Accord LX (2.4L Automatic Transmission Front-Wheel Drive Sedan). The Honda Genuine axles were around $800 total, which did not make sense for me to spend on a 15-year-old car that has 430,000Km (270,000Mi). So, I needed to buy an axle from an aftermarket company. From what I read, any axle below $400-$500, even from an aftermarket company are no good. Those guys were right in this case. The first axle I received created a clicking noise on acceleration and turning (although not nearly as bad as the original one). The second one I received through an exchange did the same thing. I ended up returning them both and bought an old used axle from the junkyard that didn't have its axle boot split open. It's working fine for now, and from now on I will rebuild my genuine axles in all my cars before I will purchase another aftermarket axle. Your experience may vary, but it's all the luck of the draw I guess. I may have simply got really unlucky twice in a row. I believe the size of the axle is slightly different from Genuine axles and that is what causes the various issues for people (difficult to install, difficult to remove, clicking, popping out, etc upon driving/turning/accelerating)It's still worth it to try and see if you get a decent axle for an old car that isn't worth much, but make sure the return policy is good! And be prepared to perform the labour 2,3, or even 4 times if you're unlucky like me.

I bought this CV Axle in Feb 2023 which the Outer CV Boot failed in 14 months (10,000km). Amazon does not offer Cardone's Lifetime Warranty but only their 30 days return period. This is so far out of Space for Autoparts. Cardone says they follow the Point -of-sale distributor (Amazon.ca). Auto Parts do not normally fail in 30 days and Amazon must understand who would purchase a higher priced quality product with Manufacuturer's Lifetime Warranty if Amazon cannot honor it. This is so unfortunate as Cardone has a decent product with Lifetime Warranty and did not educate their distributor (Amazon) on how to best take advantage of their Lifetime Warranty; not just the normal 30 days return period. It is not my place to have this done between Amazon and Cardone, but as a customer of Amazon both Amazon and Cardone seems very negligent on offering Cardone's Lifetime Warranty to Amazon's customers. Until this is resolved, I will never buy Auto parts from a distributor who do not understand how Auto parts Warranty works. It is also poor reflection on Cardone who should take time and effort to pass their quality and customer satisfaction process to their distributors.

sliced my CV boot while changing the knuckle. Ordered Cardone after reading reviews online and it went in nice and easy.Wish I didn't have to drop the extra cash but the job was not too bad since I already had everything torn apart.

My Monday morning commute to work resulted in a broken axle on my 2009 Honda Accord. Thankfully I was not on the highway when it happened. I pulled up to a four way stop, when it was my turn to go I heard a snap and the car had no go. Needless to say I cannot believe this was not a recall for my 2009 Accord. This aftermarket part lacks the large rubber damper, but I notice no difference. I'm glad it doesn't have damper as it will be less likely to rust in half. I replaced both sides. Took a few hours total. Hardest part was pushing the teeth into the transmission. A piece of wood and a hammer helped m with this.

Axle worked well for about 8 months now it s constantly clicking and clunking. Called amazon because item describes a lifetime warranty. But they will not honor the warranty nor help get a replacement part at all. Bad customer service and false advertisement. Do not buy cardone parts through amazon.

1 month after installing this product. The axle started shaking really bad. Worst product ever. Don't buy.
