If you own a Ram HD and you’ve spent any time researching front end parts, it’s likely you’ve heard of Carli Ball Joints. Well, now those in possession of a post-2013 suspension redesigned Ram HD equipped with factory radius arms have the ability to install their last set of ball joints. Now that the research has begun and our customers are overloaded with information, what’s the benefit to these Carli Joints? The main differentiators that matter – materials, process, and design. Our philosophy has always been to skip on the enumeration of materials and process. Leave this to the engineers way smarter than those of us within the organization who are put to the task of trying to destroy the products they design. As our lifetime ball joints have been in circulation for many years and more competition enters the market, the “what makes these so special” questions surfaces regularly; we’re happy to shed some light! The design comes first. To know how we improved it, let’s take a look at the factory. The Factory Ball Joints are made up of a lower ball joint and upper floating king-pin. What better way to learn a product than to cut it in half to learn it’s functionality. The upper ball joint is designed as a pivot point determining the axis on which the knuckle will move and thus, only sees a lateral load. When you cut into the factory ball Joint, you find a sealed housing, sleeve, pin and boot. The upper cavity stores the grease from the factory and allows the “hat” of the pin to float up and down as the knuckle raises and lowers through the steering cycle. The “hat” of the pin does not make contact with the housing, it only prevents the pin from pulling out the bottom of the housing. As the hat of the pin doesn’t contact, there’s a coated sleeve that isolates the pin from the housing and it’s vertical surface is the only wear surface for the upper. The Carli Joints are similar in design in that we utilize the same style of a floating King-Pin upper but with several

First, these ball joints were ordered at 10 AM and were at my house at 7PM the SAME DAY! Instructions were extremly detailed. (These have a few details that need to be followed. They are not your typical ball joints.) I have been chasing my trucks wondering problem for a year. After installing normal ball joints. My 13 Ram 3500 with a 6 inch lift on 37/13.50s Drives like a dream. Yes they were pricey but so far, absolutly worth it. My truck has never drove down the road so good. If you're on the fence about buying them. Do it you will not regret it. Plus they have thier own lot number to register them with Carli for the Lifetime warranty.

During a restoration/upgrade of my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins diesel truck, I chose to install these Carli ball joints. It was the top recommended ball joint from many 4x4 truck retailers and you can find plenty of rave reviews on the web. Almost everyone raves about the lifetime warranty. Has anyone had to actually request a warranty claim? I did and my experience was horrible. When I started seeing the tell tale signs of ball joint wear, I had my mechanic verify the ball joints were failing. I requested replacement ball joints and Carli stated the ball joints had to meet a certain play requirements to verify the ball joints were worn. Unfortunately, I had already replaced the ball joints with a different brand. Through multiple emails and conversations, Carli assured me the ball joints were not bad and did not meet the requirements for replacement. They needed video evidence of the ball joint play while installed. So I had them reinstalled and I installed a new front end kit to make sure that wasn’t the problem. Sure enough, the wandering came back. I videoed the play in the ball joints and sent it to Carli. Their response was the ball joints still aren’t replaceable because the play wasn’t “large enough” for their specs. The play in the joints were significant enough for the shop to tell me they have to be replaced. So I replaced them and Carli still won’t send me replacement ball joints. So if you think you’re getting a lifetime warranty with Carli, you really aren’t. Know you’re getting good ball joints that’ll last about 40-50,00 miles but that’s it. They don’t stand behind the lifetime warranty.

Not worth it carli has zero customer service and if there’s an issue they’ll blame you and do everything they can not to warranty the part. Plenty of other companies with a no questions asked warranty

So far so good. Main advantages are no plastic in upper dodge ram kingpin "ball Joints" and higher quality harder steel grease-able ball joints, also they are adjustable to compensate for wear.

Bought for a 2016 Ram 3500. These ball joints are amazing. Fit and finish are top notch. I have about 3,000 miles on them so far and going strong. Greasing them every 2-3 thousand miles takes only minutes and easy to do.Worth the money.
