Broken on arrival. Would not power up. Got a second one and it would not stay connected to my car (connect-disconnect-connect-disconnect-etc), even though it is on the list of cars it will connect with.

I purchased this because I'm tired of always plugging my iPhone in to get CarPlay. I've had it almost a week and so far it has been awesome. There is an about a 5 second delay when you first start up the car as it connects to your phone and system. Everything works smoothly and there is only a slight lag when forwarding songs. Nothing too terrible. I have a 2019 Mazda 3 Hatchback and it works flawlessly.

These work great! Having both the 3.0 and 5.0, either one works fine with either my factory radio in a Jeep or the newer Sony radio that had only wired CarPlay and Android auto, now works wirelessly with good connection reliably and speed. Don’t bother paying too much for a new wireless head unit if you already have wired CarPlay.

I was very skeptical about this product because everyone was saying that these dongles Simply don’t work right. this was very very simple. I turned it on connected to the Bluetooth immediately and as soon as I did that, Apple CarPlay came up , so I was messing around with it, trying to find flaws to my surprise, It works beautiful. Everything works. My phone calls are crystal clear not delayed. My music does not skip graphics are beautiful and it’s just amazing. It works as it should. I totally recommend this product !!by the way , I connected it to my 2024 Hyundai ionic 5and I couldn’t be happier.

The CarlinKit 5.0 wireless CarPlay adapter works very well most of the time. It was easy to set up and seamlessly converts wired Carplay into wireless CarPlay that automatically connects each time you get in your car.The only issue that I’ve encountered is when you stop the car and restart the car before the infotainment system has actually shut down completely. In my car the infotainment system remains active for about 90 seconds after the vehicle is shut off and the door is opened. If this time period hasn’t elapsed and I get back in and restart the car, the CarlinKit adapter goes into a loop where the infotainment screen appears for a couple of seconds and then goes blank. This happens over and over until you unplug the CarlinKit adapter and then the infotainment system will complete its startup normally. However, if you plug the adapter back in, the screen will start going blank again over and over until the infotainment system has been allowed to completely power down. After that, everything works again as expected.I reported this problem and submitted logs of the adapter when this occurred, but never heard back from their tech support. It’s not a significant problem as when I normally leave the car, I’m usually gone long enough for the system to fully shutdown, but occasionally, if I change my mind and jump back in the car, this problem will occur. Otherwise, it works great and as advertised.

I have been using wired android auto for 4 years, and it had been a hassle. With this product? That's not the case anymore! Setup was quick, reconnection only took 15 seconds, the device looks clean, and it comes with an adhesive so you could stick it somewhere that won't take up the space you need for your other belongings! I love it!Cons:- I have a 2023 Hyundai Elantra, and each time I exit the vehicle, and re-enter, it will 100% not work the first time, I have to open another app first and then Apple Car play for it to work.Android Auto is even more inconsistent!
