When a tire has a size designation of 27 X 8.5 X 15 this means the mounted diameter should be close to 27", the width should be close to 8.5" and will fit a 15" rim. These tires from Carlisle have a mounted diameter of 25.25" not anywhere close to the 27" designation, this becomes important in getting front to rear ratios correct on MFWD tractors. Carlisle claimed they were defective and would be covered under warranty. The fact is Carlisle designed a mold to make the tire undersized to save on manufacturing costs, no warranty replacement would fix the problem as molds are expensive to make and it is not likely Carlisle will make new molds anytime in the near future. Do not buy if you want correctly sized tires.
