Prized for its spectacular display of fragrant, bright yellow flowers, this well-mannered vine climbs beautifully on a trellis, arbor or over fences and walls without smothering surrounding trees and shrubs. Allow to sprawl unsupported across slopes and banks as an informal, mounding ground cover. Evergreen to semi-evergreen.
This emerald green vine is famous for adapting to chain-link fences. It climbs up quickly without training and then cascades off the opposite side to create a waterfall of bright yellow blossoms in spring. It can disguise fences around tennis courts, swimming pools and even corrals. Often combined with other deciduous flowering vines to extend its season of color.
Thrives in enriched, slightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish extensive root system. Provide support such as trellis or arbor, or allow to ramble on the ground. Prune annually to control size. Sap may irritate; protect skin when pruning. Pruning time: spring after flowering.
Carolina Jessamine vines are covered with clusters of fragrant, yellow flowers in late winter and spring. The flowers are followed by seed capsules that ripen slowly over the remainder of the season. If you want to collect a few seeds to start new plants, pick the capsules in fall after the seeds inside have turned brown. Air dry them for three or four days and then remove the seeds. They are easy to start indoors in late winter or outdoors in late spring when the soil is thoroughly warm.
These sprawling vines are native to the Southeastern United States where winters are mild and summers are hot. They tolerate an occasional frost, but persistent freezes kill them. Carolina Jessamine is rated for USDA plant hardiness zones 7 through 9.

I’m very pleased with how they look upon delivery, I guess it’s up to me now if they live or die. But I’m very pleased with how they look right now they have the right moisture level and look healthy.

The plants arrived in pretty rough shape; yellow and dry. About half dozen were dead. Since planting them another half dozen have not made it. They are very young only about 2-3 tall with roots.

So pleased! These were carefully packaged and arrived happy - with soil still moist. Can’t wait to plant them along our fence!

This is an amazing offer for 60 jasmine plants in spectacular health. Compare to other offers at $10-$15 per similarly-sized plant. The seller was friendly and super responsive, and shipping was a breeze. I only needed about 25 of these so shared the order with a bunch of friends. After a few months, all 25 of mine all are growing beautifully with very little care (some of my friends had a few die, but I'm not sure they were taking great care of water and soil needs). Can't recommend enough.
