Hair rigs are a bit more challenging to tie for a lot of folks and if you don't want to deal with that, getting a pre-rigged kit is a great way to go.The fake corn does float and keeps the hook off the bottom. The included sinker has little bait holding spikes all around, so you can apply your pack bait directly to the sinker.Carp fishing is relatively unknown in the USA, however other parts of the world enjoy catching carp with rigs just like these. Remember, you put the bait onto the sinker or a baitholder (not included) and leave the hook bare. If you put anything on the hook, maybe just a couple kernels of whole corn, but make sure the floatant fake corns can still hold the hook aloft in the water.These will definitely catch carp, if you get into the right area, and have a reasonable bait to go along with it. Carp pack baits are easy to make, but you might find some on tackle shops that cater to carp fishing.
