This rake really pulls up cat hair matted down on a short shaggy carpet. I am using this on a loft area of a RV which has a low ceiling. The long handle lets me reach into the back of the loft. The handle comes in three sections that screw together so you can adjust the length needed.

This carpet rake with a long handle, and it’s been a mixed experience. On the positive side, it’s very easy to use and does a good job pulling up hair and dirt from carpets. I like that you can just shake the hair off the rake—super convenient! It’s especially helpful for refreshing a carpet that hasn’t been cleaned in a while.However, I noticed it doesn’t pick up much if you’ve already vacuumed, so it’s more of a pre-cleaning tool or for deeper cleaning in between vacuums. One issue I ran into is that it caught and slightly cut the edges of my rug, so you’ll need to be cautious about the type of fabric you’re using it on. Overall, it’s a decent tool for specific uses, but not an all-in-one solution for carpet cleaning.

Don’t buy. Consider other products. Bought this for my carpet since I have a dog and I’m very good about the upkeep with his fur and I bought this to use and the pole is extremely flimsy and broke so quick and easily.

Due to segments on the handle, product is flimsy and withing the first 24 hours I can already notice some vending that I know is going to damage the connection points in the handle. This is the trade off I guess to be able to keep it compacy for storage purposes so overall I'm happy with the product. The connection point wear the rake itself meets the handle is a pretty universal connection you could switch out with almost any broom anyway if the handle does break ever and it came within 24 hours of ordering with amazon so 10/10 recommend!

While it does help to remove hair, I found you have to really push hard and go over the area several times for it to remove a noticeable amount.
