Real racing feel for the Digital 124 or Digital 132 tracks! The Pit Lane adds an important racing element to the Carrera track. The Pit Lane works in conjunction with the Control Unit (30352) or the Black Box (30344). However, the extended tank function is only available when used with the Control Unit.
The pit lane gives you three new ways to make the races on your track even more exciting and add tactical elements.
Automatic lap counter
On the one hand, a lap count is integrated in the pit lane. Especially on longer races you can quickly lose count of the laps you have driven. Thanks to the automatic counting you can concentrate fully on your lap times. The lap counter can also be deactivated if desired. Vehicle refuelling
Regardless of the racing series – the pit stop is always a special moment. Used tactically, it can make the difference between victory and defeat. And the same goes on your Carrera track! You can arrange it so that the slot cars have to make regular pit stops. If you do not go to the pit, the slot cars slow down and the end can be completely changed. You need the Driver Display (30353) so that you can read the fuel level in your tank. Use of a pace car
On the other hand, the pit lane also allows the race to be led by a pace car. As in real races, you can bring the pace car onto the track after an accident to recover the vehicles that have strayed from the track. You just have to make sure that the slot car has pace car electronics. If you want to use the tank function and a pace car simultaneously, you will need two pit lanes.

I really like this a lot for the Pit Stop functions, and the only drawbacks, are : 1) You need 2 COMPLETE Pit Stop Lanes to use the Pace Car function AND fueling. , 2) You MUST place a Standard Straight BETWEEN the exit of #1 and entrance of #2 to get it to work. , 3) You need the Driver Display to really utilize ALL the fuel features. All said, the pit stops really make it fun, but you REALLY can't utilize it fully without the display. imhobtw Another "side effect" is as you add more modules/features, the front straight gets long ! I need almost 9 feet of length now, and still need to add more.

Adds another strategy to the already exciting digital slot car experience. Really should be packaged together with two Driver Displays since they are needed as well if you use this with the real effects of fuel switched on. If you wait for the headlights to flash, which indicate that your car is out of fuel, your lap will not count if you pass the start/finish line before refueling.

I just bought it, at the begining did not know how it works, but the instruction manual said that ONLY WORKS WITH CABLE DIGITAL SPEED CONTROL to play the Pit lane and it works fine! have adicional wireless controls but they did not work with the pit lane, have to wait until the car light a flashes! then You go to the pit lane and press the Change lane button for the time you decided (5 to 10 seconds) , and get black to the race.
