Factory style unit that stayed under 7 psi. Works perfect with a Quadrajet. Prevents fuel from blowing by the needle and seat to flood the bowl. I used it with a regulator for safety but its not needed.

So far, so good. No leaks and it fits like it should. This is a made-in-China pump which I don't care for (similar unit bought at O'Reilly's was made in Korea) but it works well and seems well made. Time will tell....

I always prefer to buy made in USA products. And Carter has been around a long time, so I trust them. The product details state Country of Origin : USA. See picture of label. It says MADE IN KOREA. Why mislead the buyer? Why be disingenuous? Why scam your valued customers? Why? Country of Origin USA? NO. Made in KOREA. For shame Carter.

Worked great at first. Running it on a balanced and built 70 Goat, it started spitting up chunks of diaphragm into the fuel filter at around 80 miles of use. I noted the motor appeared to be starving ontop end. That is what got me looking around. By 100 miles I was struggling to get it home. Barely made it. Put on exact same pump I had bought 2 months earlier for another motor and it's starting down the same hill at less than 50 miles. Bottom end works great. But, open the 4 barrel and you'll run out of fuel.Edit:9/30/19. Second pump is down now. That’s two of this specific pump that didn’t last a combined 1,000 miles. Won’t buy another!
