Pump runs at 8 psi. Had to run regulator to get pressure down. Checked pressure two different ways both read 8 psi

This pump is supposed to deliver 5.5 to 7.5 psi. The one I got was well over 15 psi... flooded out my engine. I understand there are quality issues with these and other Carter pumps... blame the pandemic? The diaphragm spring is wrong. I bought this a few months ago so I am out of the "return" time. There is very little to these pumps, so I'm going to roll the dice and buy another... fingers crossed.

Everything you would expect from a Carter product. It's advertised with 1/4" fittings but don't let that fool you. I installed 1/4 npt thread to 3/8 barbed hose fittings and they are actually perfect if you are using 3/8 fuel line. There's enough meat on this thing to re-thread it to 3/8" npt if you have the tools and need a 1/2" fuel line.
