Paints were in good shape. Not hard not easy to paint either. I got this because it reminds me of the books Peter rabbit. The only drawback (which seems to be the trend now) is the frame is a DIY that you have to put together using a hammer. The edges of the canvas never seem to come out straight onto the frame. Other than that fine.
