I made some butcher block cutting boards using this glue.It has just enough open time to allow for assembly and I didn’t have any creep.I’ll be buying more, as soon as I get more wood suitable for making more boards.

This stuff makes Gorilla glue look like kitten glue. Once it dries only an act of God will be able to break the bond.

Mixes easy. Does not dry too quickly which was good as I had several pieces that had to be glued and then fitted together.

Bought a few tubs of this product because I have seen it used for decades. I saw a few bad reviews and thought i'd offer the right way to use it. 1st, buy some cheap plastic bowls, 2nd, find a cheap digital scale, 3rd, you're good to go! Take 2 bowls, one for water and one for powder, add water or powder to the bowls 'til = in weight, mix and use. It's not hard, and it's because the mix becomes plasticized when it's dry that it soaks into the wood wet and is stronger than the wood when fully set.

The Cascamite Powdered Resin Wood Glue s is a very good product. My first experience with it was a good one.Directions easy to follow, mixed easily applied nicely and set very strong. The best part is, you only mix what you need for the job, and since its a powder the remainder will keep well in storage and long as its in a dry place.

The mixing with water to get the right consistency is not easy. I first mixed a small quantity (table spoon). That didn't want to mix at all into a paste. It kept separating. I then used a larger quantity. That mixed OK eventually but was too runny. Added more powder and got it there eventually. It dried whitish in colour. Adhesive strength was not great either. I hit the top piece of wood with a hammer and bond broke immediately (too brittle).I'm now using Sika Concrete Fix, which turned out to be the best glue ever for any material. Can sand it and paint it, is waterproof and doesn't shrink. Same price as Cascamite.

This stuff is the best you can get for stick wood together. Its filling properties make it ideal and it sets as hard as a rock.I've just purchased my second batch of this as my first packet had gone off. I word of advice. Although this does not really have a shelf life and I would agree with that, if you don't store itcorrectly and seal the lid correctly then it will lose its properties and you can only tell once you mix it.I recently tried to mix some cascamite that I had had for over two years stored in the garage. I mixed it the same as I normally do and it just went to a watery frothy thin mix. Tried a few times but I could not get it to "glue" up into a nice mixture. Bought some fresh cascamite and hey presto, mixed to the correct texture in seconds. According to the manufacturer, it can get condensation contamination and lose its properties but it does not have a shelf life as such. DO NOT store it in the garage as this is not the best place to store it.I've used it to stick window frames, door splits, window splits both inside and outside....sets like a rock. I've heard its ideal of boats. As its a single part mix, this makes it ideal as I don't like the two part mix glues very much.Contrary to what it says on the packet, I always mix it with water to powder, and judge the amount. Add the powder and keep slowly adding water, just like mixing custard powder or corn flour, until it turns into a runny glue which drips slowly off the mixing stick.
