Max length of pistols is 8 5/8". Compact design leaves no wasted space. Manufactured in America by Case Club. This ammo can insert includes 3 pieces. Soft lid foam, denser base foam with cutouts, dense flatpad for the bottom. Gun cutout foam is included which allows you to customize the depth the gun sits (using a razor blade or knife). This provides you the flexibility of fitting anything from a compact to a full size 1911. Customer is responsible for gluing the lid foam into the lid of their ammo box if desired. (Standard hot glue will work.) Ammo can, pistol & magazines depicted are not included.

Does work for most pistols, just don't think it did what I wanted it to do. More about what I thought it was going to work for me, just didn't work. It now just sets empty next to the safe.

I bought this on a previous recommendation. Just installed it and it fits fine. Generic slot cut for various types of pew pews plus 2 slots for single or double stack mags. A little room down the side for misc. items. I consider this a good purchase.

This can is a nice option to store your pistol.It fits most all pistols used out in it with a barrel up to 5” in length.Seal seems tight although have never test against water.

This allows for storage in a neat way. Especially if you don't keep all your original boxes or like something that is far more heavy duty.

I bought this to insert into my center console gun safe for my 2018 Ford F150. It fits without modification and still have me room to store my programmer and emergency cash along with 2 extra magazines (total of 4 mags). I would recommend this if you plan on getting a center console gun safe.

Fits well. Keep the foam you remove from the cut-outs to add extra padding under your firearm and to cut blocks to raise your magazines a bit so they're easier to retrieve from the foam.The description said that the lid foam was peel & stick. That was not the case. Hot glue might work, I opted for Gorilla glue.The foam accommodated a double stack .45 with a 4.7" barrel and two 14 round double stack mags. The firearm fit better grip up vs grip down. This is a good way to lock & store a single pistol. For rapid access, it's not the way to go, however. How long the foam holds up will depend on how much you remove and replace your particular firearm. I would suggest adding desiccant to your ammo can to help elimate damaging moisture. Personally, I would not view this as a long term storage solution; for short term storage it works very well indeed.

This is a combined review of the Case Club Pistol & Magazine foam kit for both the & . The Case Club foam kit fits new or surplus ammo cans. It does not include the ammo can.These kits do not fit what is commonly known as the .The Case Club foam fits most all compact 9mm, 40 cal, and 45 cal pistols sitting upright. Full size Government model 45ACP must be place in up side down, resting on the slide. Pistols with scopes wont fit. Long slide/barrel 22 cal pistols wont fit (S&W 22A, Ruger Mark II 22/45 Bull Barrel), while short slide/barrel 22's will fit (Ruger SR22, Ruger Mark III 22/45 Lite, Walther P22).The top foam piece fits well and does not interfere with the gasket of the Ammo Can. It needs to be attached to the underside of the lid with double sided tape or hot glue. The removable foam cutouts can be used to support the pistol and protect the sights or slide. A previous review noted the foam sags over time with use of loaded mags. The magazine foam cutouts can be trimmed and replaced back into the hole so a loaded mag can be supported by the bullet/feed lips end and not the base plate. The base pad is only 1/4 inch thick but combined with the steel mili surplus ammo can it should give more that enough protection. You can use trigger locks or cable locks on each gun with this foam kit. Ammo cans can be locked with a long shackle lock without having to drill into them.When use with a steel military ammo can with a good seal, you have a strong watertight indestructible gun storage for use at the range or in the field.For long storage you could add , or .I own 3 of these and will purchase more. Just waiting for Case Club to make them to fit the Fat 50 ammo can.
