This is a very nice case for the price point. Foam is wonderful. As other reviewers have said, plan on spending some time doing your customized cut-outs but, if you do, you'll be happy with the result. I second the advice to err on the size of making your cut-outs a bit too small at first; enlarging them to fit is easy to do. The tool provided is handy but not immortal; mine lasted just long enough to finish my final trimmings. Try to cut straight up and down; you'll be able to trim up many--but not all--angled cuts you accidentally make. As to the exterior, it's sturdy enough to meet my needs (car travel to the range, etc.) but I wouldn't trust it to airline baggage handlers. As far as the latches, mine were on when the case arrived and have stayed on. I make sure that the edges of case are aligned when I latch it shut. All in all, I am very satisfied with this case, especially for what I paid. Not as good as the cases costing three times more, of course, but much, much better than anything else out there for less than $100.

Great case for the price. The foam is great quality and easy to cut to your liking. Much better than the pick and pull foam. Material is slightly thinner than more expensive brands but this case is still well worth it's price. I use it to hold my competition rifle and holds locks as good as needed.

All cases should use this type of foam. This type of foam is far superior to the cube style of pluck foam used in other cases. Super easy to customize the rifles footprint with a sharp buck knife. The plastic outer case is not great, but not horrible.I would recommend that after you’re satisfied with the layout and fit, use rubber cement to bond the layers of foam. This keeps the layers from separating when removing items from the case. Just a small added effort makes a noticeable difference in its use. I’d recommend.

Great quality case for the price. The package came with a perfectly sized box cutter for cutting the foam precisely. Something to keep in mind if you are considering this is that it will be pretty time consuming to cut the foam yourself, but for me the finished product was well worth the work it took to get there. Also, a bit of advice: try to cut too small of slots rather than too big of slots. It’s way easier to trim if necessary than to make the slots smaller if you cut them too big.

Ok let me explain. I purchased this case for a spur of the moment hog hunt out of state. Purchase due to the quick delivery date with prime, and the price was reasonable. There are other cases in the same price range that I feel are a bit more sturdy. The exterior material thickness of the case would be equivalent to a bow case that you get when you purchase a new bow, and even some of those are thicker and less flemsy. The latches are more think plastic tabs that come off if something is bumped against it at a certain angle. I found the the latch on the floor of my cargo area a couple of times during the trip. The positive is the closed cell foam, this is where this case stands out with other cases with the same price range. I can see where this foam would not hold water like the sponge pullout foam as other cases, but a lot of those cases have gaskets and the case is water tight, which this case is not. If you need a case in emergency, and you are traveling by car, this is a great secondary case, I would not feel secure taking this case on a plane, but thats me.

I love this box. I think it’s great for the money. In comparison to other boxes, this one is definitely best for the money. The foam is most likely the best part. It’s easy to work with and looks really good. I cut the pieces out and found out it’s very easy to accidentally cut it on an angle. They included a box cutter with it, which was nice of them. Thinking back I should have cut it with a more solid blade. I think the cuts would have been more straight through. I’d recommend taking your time and triple check your not cutting on an angle. Overall I’d say if your looking for a case, check out what they have. Something will fit what your looking for.

the case itself was very durablethe foam was perfect and i was able to cut it myself to my likingthis didnt have the cheap square cut foams that start pealing away after a couple month.my dad was very impressed with my gift and now im thinking about buying another one for myself
