I had been using aspoon to scrpe off stubborn stuck bits in my cast iron. This is a better option and does a better job. You just have to use another scrubber to get the bits out of the chain when you're done.

in the bast i would wad up tinfoil into a ball and use that to scrub my cast iron pans. This tool is much more convenient and probably much cheaper in the long run. Easy to scrub harder when needed with this tool and when i'm done i can rinse it out and pop it in the dishwasher if i want to

Probably works great on grill grates. Didn’t think about that till after I returned it. Too rough for seasoned pans. Takes the finish off and really didn’t clean all that well.

I recently bought a cast iron skillet and wanted something to clean it a bit better than the nylon brush I have been using. I've seen online that chainmail scrubbers can be good for this, but the ones I've seen are loose and not wrapped tight around a handle.The handle on this was easy to hold, and the shape of the scrubber was good to get into the corners and edges of the pan after I cooked a bunch of bacon. I wish the chainmail was looser and more able to move around - I feel like this is going to scratch my pan if I press too hard. It took off a lot of the seasoning while cleaning. Will probably try it again but not sure if I will use it long term because of this.

This cast iron scrubber is great and stands apart from other scrubbers with its handle making it feel easier to clean with while also keeping your hands a bit more clean.It comes with a scrapper too for additional hard to scrape off bits.It does the job and does it well!

This Purgreat Cast Iron Scrubber is exactly what I've always needed! I have several cast iron pans and a 36" Blackstone that this thing works wonders on. I no longer need to use crumbled up aluminum foil to clean my pans and am able to still get into the edges of my round pans. This scrubber feels well made and the chain is sturdy 316 stainless steel so shouldn't rust. You do need to rinse this frequently if there is a lot of gunk in your pans but typically seasoned cast iron pans can be wiped out fairly easy making this great for those tough or burnt on stains. Overall I really like this scrubber and will buy myself another in the future instead of wasting my aluminum foil.
