We have really got into cast iron cookware over the last year or so, and when I saw this, I felt it was a perfect system to use for our cast iron stuff. This is listed as a a WOK support, but I am using this as a cast iron cookware holder, and also a separator/lifter while cooking on the grill. We use a small cast iron garlic/onion roaster on our grill frequently and this item is perfect to lift the roaster up just a bit more so the contents don't burn, and then can be used as a resting place for when the cookware is still hot. We use it support hot pans in the kitchen as well, there are many uses for this great device. We haven't tried it for a WOK, but I'm sure it would be great for that as well.

This cast iron ring is sturdier than I expected and super useful for stabilizing pots, small pans, and even round-bottom woks. The 2-in-1 design works great, and the heat distribution is excellent. My only gripe is that it gets very hot, so handle with care.

This enhances the versatility of how I can use the burners/ cooking surfaces I already use.I have used the inner ring of this 2-piece accessory, as a conduit between an induction burner, and a cooking pot that does not have the iron content needed for an induction burner cooktop to be activated. The inner ring and its 4 arms would also allow me to heat water in a borosilicate glass tea-steeping carafe that otherwise would not work on the induction burner. Both the inner and outer ring are clean-cast - there were no rough edges, and each piece fit the other as intended (the parts that need to line up with one another, do so the way they need to).The next place I will probably use this will be while preparing food over a camping fire, whether that's on a grill over a campfire, or the flame of a camp-stove gas burner.

Really liked the idea of this to use with the round bottom wok and smaller pots/pans. The wok fits perfectly fine and works for smaller pots/pans unfortunately it doesn't sit well on our stove iron rack. It's easy to use and set up and would be easy to clean up.

This cast iron stove top wok holder is great for the gas stove and holding the rounder bottom pots. The round wok sits perfectly in this holder and it is safe to use it on the stove without damaging this holder. I'm really happy with the quality and the way this wok holder works. It can be used for other uses on the stove as well which is great.

I have tried several of these so far for my wok. I have the actual traditional Chinese Wok with the round bottom instead of flat. All of the Wok support I've tried so far do not fit on my GE stove. This on the other hand does fit nicely. The Wok now sits perfectly in the middle and doesn't roll around. The support doesn't slip around either like the other ones I've tried so far. It's a nice hefty ring of cast iron and should last a very long time.

Great wok rest that is definitely built to last and performs the function it promises to, with woks from small to huge.I've only just started using a wok, and I'm not sure how I would have used it at all before finding this product. It's heavy cast iron (sand-cast I think, so it's got a rouger texture in spots, but you won't be wearing it!) and comes with hooks for hanging, a nice touch. Mine is living on my stove, as a reminder to wok the wok!Recommended.

I like that its cast iron but I'm a bit picky about controlling the heat, it's the whole reason I switched to a Gas range from electric. Cast Iron takes a while to cool down, something to keep in mind when stir frying, but it helps with boiling water. It is as described so I can't justify removing a star. For me personally It would be 4/5 because I'm picky about temperature.

Full disclosure: I did not get this thing with the intent of using it on a burner. I wanted something I can set on a silicone trivet on my countertop, and then set a fresh-off-the-stove wok on top of it and not worry about heat transfer into my countertops or burning the hot pad or towel sitting nearby. And for that purpose, it works really well. My husband loves to cook on the propane burner with his wok, and I like my countertops and kitchen towels without singe marks. So this thing does stabilize a wok sitting on it, as it should, and it is pretty easy to clean - I rinse it, rub it with oil, and put it back in the drawer once it has cooled off. I can't speak to how well it fits on a burner or how well it behaves when it is sitting on an active flame - but it's iron, so it should be ok.

No more attempting to cook Asian food in a frying pan for me. Some things just require the proper tools, and a wok is one of those indispensable tools that really has no good substitute. But, along with it, you need two things:1) A gas burner with a large flame and enough heat2) A surface that can hold the wok properly in place, while allowing you to move the wok while cookingIf you've already got the gas stove with a high-BTU flame, this simple little cast iron plate will take you the rest of the way there. I wasn't sure it would fit my stove, but the bottom grooves fit well enough on top of my cast iron stovetop to make it work. And now I'm in business! Now to replace the wok we lost in our last move!

Our gas range is great for cookware. Works perfectly. But ... for something small like a moka pot? Have you ever knocked over your mocha pot because it was not supported well on the wide grate????? Yeah, I have too. Now I have a big mess on the range top to clean. GrrrrrrThis makes the mock pot nice and stable! And the big, outer ring, it is just right to support the wok while I'm cooking. Both are cast iron. Heavy and stable.Excellent quality. No sharp edges. Great fit and finish.

Overall this is really simple to use. Being able to set my moka pot up without worrying about it falling is really great.
