I am 5’ 10.5” tall and have a 32” waste. The size M fits well but snugly. I like the material, which appears gray because the weave incorporates some of the white color of the interior. Looks good. The chamois feels really good up to 45 miles, and I haven’t tried to go beyond that. I’ve worn them only about five times to date, so I cannot comment on durability.

I'm 5'11" 165 lbs and purchased a large. The L fit rather tight and very short, yet its leg gripper is somewhat loose. Had to return.

These bib shorts are tight, but thats what an experienced cyclists wants & needs. The quality is up there - almost as good as the best Assos shorts ive used in the past. Plus, these cost a couple hundred dollars less! As for comfort, i have ridden long rides of 4+ hours, and never have had to give any thought to these shorts!

Fits perfectly, hugs me like a glove - exactly what I wanted. Very comfortable on extended rides - went out for a few hours after it came today and it was great. Feels as if Castelli designed this bibshort specifically for me. I would suggest looking at the sizing chart on their website and taking measurements of your proportions before you buy... I did, bought the matching size, and it fit exactly as expected.

This is my first bib. I started riding religiously a few months ago and recently decided to try out a few pairs of padded shorts. The chamois made a massive difference and allowed me to ride fairly comfortably for multiple hours but there is a fundamental flaw with basic padded shorts - they do not stay put. They’re constantly sliding down and I found myself having to adjust them throughout the ride.I was reluctant to buy a pair of bib shorts because I assumed they’d be uncomfortable and annoying to wear. Not the case at all. I just finished my first ride using this bib and there was no discomfort whatsoever. The padding stayed exactly where it’s supposed to stay and the material is very soft and breathable. My saddle may as well have been made of marshmallows for all I knew. I used to start feeling saddle soreness after about 30 minutes. I just rode 2.5 hours without the slightest hint of soreness.Very highly recommended. Of course I’ve only used this bib once so I don’t know how well it will hold up over time but the quality appears to be top notch and Castelli is a trusted name in cycling apparel so I’m not worried about longevity at all. I will update my review if I experience any issues but I don’t think I’ll have to.

I love Castelli and I have several Competizione's in my bike closet. The construction is solid and the chamois is really good for decent length rides. I haven't taken them beyond 70 miles on a single ride. I would have given them 5 stars, but Castelli can't seem to get sizing to be consistent within the same line. I now have 3 Competizione Bibs and no two fit alike. I am 6'1" and 172lbs. I have a Large that fits pretty snug, more like a Medium. I still ride with it, though and it's solid. The next bibs, I sized up and got an XL and that fits like advertised, with no saggy areas or anything. It fits really well. So...I bought the latest bibs in an XL, because I really liked that fit and these XL's ended up fitting like the original Large should have fit. Their sizing chart is pretty useless, as well. Kinda sucks that I have to really be a sleuth to figure out how these really good bibs are sized so that I can get consistent purchases from them. Once you find a size that works, though, they are really great bibs! Good luck!
