Too shallow, more food ends up on the floor than eaten.

Sturdy and attractive bowl. The slight elevation makes it easier for cats to feed. Food can still spill out of it, so put it on a mat. I wish it were a little wider to avoid whisker-touch for my large cat.

Excellent food bowls for my cats and is certainly a big upgrade over the plastic bowls they were using. Ceramics feel good and has a nice weight. With the plastic bowls, I had issues with one of my cats pushing the bowl as he was eating. With this heavier bowl, that no longer is the case. They look great and the elevated designs are better for cats’ posture when they eat.I would however not use this as a water bowl. Because it is a bit tilted, you will not be filling it up much before spilling water.

These bowls are functionally designed to raise the food higher and angled to improve your cat's (or small dog's) ability to eat the food without effectively "bending down".This should technically improve their ability to swallow without subsequent puking. The hand finished surface adds texture to make the food more accessible and I find that it actually helps with the wet food since it has some small surface to keep the food in place. The overall design is clean and simple.

These bowls are great for cats, but I also use them for my 2 frenchies. I love how solid these are and the height is perfect so they don't need to bend their necks. I haven't noticed any food spilling from the bowls and that makes them A+ in my book. These bowls are a good value for the money.

Elevated bowls are just great for dogs and cats as it helps them to eat and not extend their necks where they tend to inhale their food thus causing them to regurgitate later. In addition to this functional design, the bowl wide which helps cats with long whiskers. Cats find it almost painful to have their whiskers bumping into things so this helps if you have a cat with long whiskers like our long haired orange tabby. A vet once told us a cats whiskers are just a little wider than the width of their body so they can easily climb through tight spaces and know they won't get stuck. Makes sense to me! Anyway, back to this bowl. A couple other features I like about this bowl are the heaviness of the porcelain. It helps to prevent this from being pushed off ledges. The bowl with rounded edges keeps food from being stuck in edges, and it's easy to clean. I also don't think it looks too shabby on a shelf where our cat likes to eat.

Sturdy, pretty and my cat likes it! High enough to alleviate his arthritis (he doesn't have to squat low to eat).
