Seeds sprouted fine but "planter" is just painted wood and my soil that it came with molded within a week. Watered as instructed. Also had another planter so I did extra with same soil and seeds. It's doing just fine. This planter I threw out. Mold was through the entire block of soil.

My cat is a senior who has spent most of his life as an indoor / outdoor cat who is no longer allowed outside. I wanted to provide him something that would remind him a little of the outdoors other than the view from windows. He is very picky though. I wasn't too surprised that he wouldn't eat the grass when I first put it out for him, he just sniffed at it and walked away. The simple fix for him was to sprinkle just a little bit of catnip over the grass. Catnip may not be advisable to entice cats to this product because catnip + cats + indoor grass in lightly potted soil might = broom and dustpan. Catnip tends to calm my cat, so I wasn't too concerned if he made a mess. It worked. He loves this grass and picks at it several times a day now, no more catnip required to lore him to the grass after that first time.Grow tip: when you soak the seeds in water during the first step, many of the seeds will float to the surface. The reason these seeds float is because they are impure, cracked, or genetically damaged (this is normal and typical of all grass seeds and grain). The floating seeds can be skimmed with a spoon and discarded. It is important to remove these floating seeds because they will not grow and may inhibit the growth of the healthy seeds that do not float.

Cute little boxes, nice that they included some coconut coir pellets for media, too. The main thing is that the cats love the grass.

My cats love this and wheat grass is really good for them. Cats will commonly throw up after eating grass - this just indicates that it’s working, clearing out hairballs and other debris they ingest. Once their digestive system has been cleaned out and settled they will stop throwing it up. It’s best to continue letting them have it to maintain digestion. Just leave it where they can get to it and they will naturally eat what they need. The biggest problem I’ve had with this or any cat grass is the cats knocking it over and making a mess. The best way I’ve found to deal with this is with the use of a good double sided tape on the bottom of the container.

Grows well, I use half a disc of dirt for both planters as they expand a lot. I like that it’s re usable so I don’t have to keep buying the plastic ones

My one cat loves it and the other has no interest in the grass but it was easy to seed and grows very well.

Pros: easy to follow. Grass grows in about a week. All supplies included. (although small mini bags to act as a liner in the planter would have been helpful).- cat approved.Cons: circle dirt patties hard to fit into small square planter. One dirt patty makes too much dirt, more than the planter can hold.- planters: small, looks like children put together. The inside lining is hit or miss. One planter has the water seal. The other has a partial opening where dirt and water can leak through.- planters are light weight. A cat tugging on grass can easily tip the planter over. Double sided sticky tape or use mini velcrow? Haven't figured out a way to weigh down the planters.

Very easy to grow! I have no green thumb whatsoever, so was a little worried to try this out as I expected it not to grow.It actually worked! Instructions were easy, and I was able to grow tall grass in 7 days! I love that there are 2 planters. I have them in two separate spots in the house for my Cats and they are drawn to it.
