The listing says hand crocheted. I crochet but could never crochet one for the price of this blanket, so I bought one. This blanket is not crocheted at all, it is knit. Commercial knitting is typically done on a knitting machine, so I’m pretty positive this isn’t even hand made at all.I’m kind of confused what the strap is for. Does it go around your waste? It really doesn’t seem to make much sense for me.I know someone else said theirs was small, but I found this a bit on the big side. I have to fold the top down to have it fit.

This was purchased for an elderly woman friend who is about to undergo chemo treatments. She is an avid knitter so we liked that it was hand knit. She is a bit of an imp and will enjoy the fun of the mermaid tale to brighten up the treatments. It is a beautiful quality product, soft but warm enough to keep a chill off, but it is miles too long for her. She is short 5'3" but since it said it was for girls I thought that would make it right. So she will have about a foot and a half extra to crunch in her lap and that is with it covering her from neck to feet. Other than that it would be a 5 star.

This product came in and looked nothing like the picture! After reading the reviews on this I bought 2 for Christmas gifts and was so pleased with its quality. The knitting is tight so it doesn't get stuck on your toes etc its super soft and warm plus it looks awesome when in use! A must buy for mermaid enthusiasts.

I ordered 5 blankets. 2 had the lining and oh so cozy. Us 5 girls got them for Christmas. We all loved them. Super soft and beautiful. We love being mermaids. I wish they all came in pretty tussue box wrapping but only the Sheppard lining came all dolled up. If i had to reorder again i definitely would only get the cozy Sheppard lining blankets.
