The original catalytic converter on my 2003 Matrix no longer functions. I had hoped this converter would get me back in compliance. Unfortunately, the OD of the original equipment Toyota exhaust pipe is 2-1/8" and this pipe is 2". See photos.The product description says, "【Direct Fit】Use the original car mold to produce it and meet standard OE specifications without extra modification." Unfortunately, that is not the case because the pipe is smaller than the OEM.After completing all the necessary steps and aligning the new converter in place, I attempted to secure the ends with a band clamp - but the clamp would not tighten on the new pipe, like it did on the original pipe. This was when I first realized the new pipe was smaller than the OEM. I obviously should have measured the new pipe before beginning the work.To remedy the difference in pipe size, I can certainly buy a different band clamp which reduces to fit the new smaller pipe size. But, installing an exhaust pipe that is smaller than Toyota designed may cause unforeseen problems such as flow restriction.There is also a problem with the provided bolts, they're too small. See photo. Fortunately I live in a state where rust is not an issue, so I was able to re-use the original 21yr old bolts. For anyone who lives where rust is a problem, and would need new bolts - the provided bolts are simply too small and don't fit.I am still considering how to proceed, but I do know I cannot recommend this product.

My relative's catalytic converter got stolen, so we needed a replacement fast. This one was a good price and easy to install. Our mechanic had it done quickly and the car runs great now. No more problems!

I got this product to help replace a worn out parts on my car. Its helping me to lower costs on my car. The fit seems like it will be perfect and functionally sound.The product feels overall solid I will have it installed over the next couple weeks.The bottomline is that the value for money is there with this product and I will repostif I find out otherwise.

This came with new hardware and spring attachments. It seems to be a legit oem-alike catalytic converter
