Overall, this is a great little computer for the price and for the features it has. This computer is adequate to give you some ball-park estimates of what you've been up to on a trail ride if you take the time to set it up using the actual tire circumference instead of the baked in automatic values.Tire Size - Because bikes have forever had slightly different values than what is printed on the sidewall of the tire, if you're going to be relying on this computer to accurately tell you velocity and distance traveled, it will require some leg work to get it right, but it works quite well afterwards. If you aren't specifically worried about the accuracy of much beyond just your real moving time, then using the ball-park pre-set values will get the job done. For instance, with a 29x2.35" tire the computer underestimates distance and speed by about 10-15% when using the 700c preset.Overall - this computer has a lot of nice features and is quite robust and comparable to it's Velo 7/9 counterparts with the only real difference being the heavier duty sensor wire. For a budget computer, it's hard to beat.

I was initially looking at getting the Cateye Velo 7 Wired, but I had seen a review stating that it wasn't appropriate for mountain bikes (i.e., they "couldn't get the magnet within 5cm" - I think they really mean 5mm - on bikes with front suspension). I was skeptical of this reviewers comments, but decided to go with the Enduro for increased ruggedness and claimed off-road use. The install on my Trek 930 with Rock Shox front suspension was straight forward and easy to get a 5mm gap. The system worked immediately with no additional adjustment.I use my bike often to support my wife who is an avid marathon runner (341 marathons) on her training runs of 10 to 20 miles. I like to keep track of her mileage and mile splits. My old Bontrager computer only showed mileage to tenths of a mile, so I'm very pleased with the Enduro's "one hundredth" of a mile resolution. I also like to occasionally hop off my bike and either run or walk with it as a break from sitting or to just get in a shorter training run (than my wife). The Bontrager would often not register miles when I walked. The Enduro seems to be able to pick up even slow walking and continue to register mileage.I calibrated my computer by riding my bike for 10 tire revolutions and measuring the distance traveled. I did this multiple times to get a good average and then used that to calculate my actual tire circumference in cm's. I tested my calibration on a trail system that is advertised as 20.4 miles - my Cateye Enduro measured it to be 20.38 miles - close enough for me. I just did a ride out 7.00 miles and noted the mile split locations - at the turnaround I zeroed the computer and again noted the mile split locations. I would say that most were within 5-10 feet of each other so this device has very good repeatability. The odometer showed 7.00 on the way out and 7.01 when I got home. All in all, I'm very pleased so far with the Cateye Enduro. Very simple to use - one button operation.

It works great but would be nice if it had a compass built in

Llego muy rapido, y bien, funciona bien, los cables y sensores se ven un poco fragiles pero van muy bien, ya se probo en montaña y en ruta y funcionan sin problema, lo unico q no se es que si es resistente al agua, pero en general va de maravilla

This CatEye works great, and is simple to operate, just as I expected. I previously had a CatEye Mity 3, so the programing was familiar. But the readout on the Enduro is at least twice as big as the Mity 3. The mount for my Mity 3 was very brittle, and finally broke too bad to repair. The enduro was about twice the price of a replacement mount for the Mity, so I decided to upgrade. As others mentioned, the mounting method isn't as sturdy, using adhesive tape. But I chose to use heavier zip ties, without the adhesive tape, and both computer and wheel speed sensor only move when I want them to. If you smash a tree with your fork leg, the wheel speed sensor is gonna shift, but you can just readjust it.I agree with others... the calorie counter and carbon offset functions are useless and require two extra button presses to loop back to the top of the menu, but they're not hurting the quality or useability of the computer. For reference on the calorie tracker, I worked hard for over an hour on a moderate trail near my house last week, totaling 7 miles. I soaked through my shirt, shorts, and socks sweating. Lots of elevation change through the trail. So I laughed when the Enduro said I had burned only 67 calories. I suppose when I had only averaged 6 mph, it asumed I was gently pedalling down ocean boulevard without breaking a sweat. So yes, useless, but no reason not to buy the computer. If you want something more complex, spend bigger money. If you want to monitor speed and distance with a durable, easy to read computer, having a hefty mount and wire, this Enduro model is perfect. One nice feature when upgrading from my Mity 3 is the auto start/stop, so the time and averaging speed aren't running if I take a stretch break or run in the store.Others complained about the wire not being long enough, but I had no problems. Your needed length will vary with how far out on the handlebar you decide to mount the computer. Regardless of what the directions say, you can mount the wheel speed sensor as high or low on the fork leg as you want, so long as you can get the sensor adjusted close to 5mm from the wheel magnet. Easy.Great product. Will recommend to friends, and y'all.
