Although the Kaoko throttle stabilizers are a little pricey, they are well made, match the weight of the factory handlebar weights, and are easy to install and operate. Just make sure to measure the length of the screw that holds the bar weights on before ordering, and follow instructions on lubricating the plastic thrust washer. Fit my BMW R1200GS with OEM handguards perfectly.

Works the best out of all the manual install cruise controls’ with easy install as I thought it was going to be much more difficult.

My 09 R1200 GSA is known for having a very heavy throttle. On long trips this can be taxing. This is a great product that is simple to install, simple to use, and is not invasive when not being used. This is by far the best designed throttle control device on the market. Others rotate the other direction which is counter intuitive and dangerous. Some others are very complicated and cumbersome and their design makes installation and use very difficult. This product hits it all perfectly and is worth every penny. Was happy to replace my Crampbuster with this.

Seems like a nice enough unit but the Amazon listing needs to be clearer that it is only for certain models. I am returning the unit because it didn't fit. All the bikes that I have owned used the same type of bar-ends so I assumed that the bar-end mounted throttle locks were one size fits, at least for 7/8 inch bars. They are not.

3,200 miles in 4.5 days! This is an amazing upgrade! The only thing is the bar weight is a bit light so the tingly feeling in the right-hand lingered for a few weeks after. R1200gsa w/ Hedi scout tires... That might be the other reason for the tingals. Overall I wish I would have installed many years ago on my bikes.

Skip this one if you have heated grips. On my BMW 1150 GS the grip expands and contracts with it's temp setting, ambient temp, and whether your gloved hand is covering it or not. So the friction of the control is constantly changing. It take frequent adjustments to get any use out of it. It also can be dangerous: if it cools rapidly (you turn your grip temp down or ride without your hand covering the grip), it can suddenly drop the throttle, or if you turn up the grip temp up it can lock jam on. Sad. It's a well-made product. Should work OK in Summer.

The Kaoko throttle lock works perfect. It was an easy install. I have a 2012 1200gs with factory handguards. I wasn't sure about the bolt size in the end of the handlebar, so I did not order one with the purchase of the throttle lock. When I installed the throttle lock the existing bolt worked fine. Ive had throttle locks on previous bikes so I knew what to expect performance wise, the Kaoko throttle lock is very smooth and easy to use, a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
